Relationship with Partners
SIC’s founders have internationally-renowned tutors and colleagues researchers possessing expertise in various domains; this will bolster the mobilisation of funding at international scale. All these competences will thus be brought into play to increase the Center’s incoming funds. Short courses on professional development delivered at the Center, and consultancy services, are also effective ways to raise funds. Collaborations and partnerships are key to the success of SIC. These partnerships include:
Academic and research Institutions
SIC will be collaborating with national, regional and international universities and research institutions to provides access to academic expertise, resources for conducting research, and opportunities for joint funding applications and academic exchanges.
Healthcare Providers
SIC will be partnering with hospitals, clinics, and healthcare systems to allow researchers to access patient populations, clinical data, and clinical expertise necessary for conducting translational and applied research.
Industry
Collaborations with biotech, or medical device companies can facilitate field trials, access to novel vector control tools, and commercialization efforts.
Government/Non-profit Organizations
Engaging with government bodies, public health agencies, and non-profit organizations can lead to policy-making influence, funding opportunities, and addressing public health challenges.
The relationships will depend on specific agreements, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), or collaborative research projects that outline the roles, responsibilities, and shared outcomes between the research centre and its partners.
Relationship with IRSS
A collaboration agreement has been signed between IRSS and SIC. The purpose of this Agreement is to acknowledge an ongoing and strategic relationship between both institutions. This agreement is intended to be a long-term working relationship and its objective is to formalize collaborations, increase cooperation and interactions and to allow the parties to plan collaborative research, educational, and training activities of mutual interest.
