Governance

SIC ‘s governance is exercised through the Board of Trustees and other bodies comprising vector control experts, public health, and representatives from partner organizations. A Scientific Advisory Board is assisting the SIC with strategic decisions, fundraising efforts, and collaborations. The governance structure ensures transparency, ethical practices, and alignment with the SIC’s objectives. The governance structure of SIC is crucial for decision-making, setting research priorities, and ensuring accountability. The key elements of its governance are:

Scientific Advisory Board (SAB)

Board of Trustees

Staff

Research Ethics Committee

To ensure ethical standards are maintained, SIC will rely on existing research ethics committee at the Institut de Recherche en Sciences de la Sante (IRSS) for the reviews and approvals of its research proposals, and to ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and ethical considerations.
